Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool government during a public meeting in Memari, Purba Bardhaman. Accusing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of prioritizing her "infiltrator vote bank" over attending the Ram temple inauguration in Ayodhya, Shah emphasized the choice between "parivar raj" and "Ram rajya" in the ongoing Lok Sabha election.

Shah asserted that the current administration in Bengal prioritizes "Mullo Madrasa and Mafia" over the welfare of the people, contrasting it with the slogan of "Maa Mati Manush" often associated with the state's governance.

Shah also took a dig Mamata over MGNREGA funds stating that the state government failed to submit Utilisation Certificates of Rs 2.29 lakh crore, which in turn is holding the Centre back from releasing the funds.

Hitting back at Shah, Mamata says "Modi Babu’s Chacha and Home Minister Amit Dada Mahashay said in Memari that Bengal did not give the Utilisation Certificates of Rs 2.29 lakh crore and this is why they are not releasing our funds. I challenge Amit Shah – not a single UC is pending from our Government. I will not take responsibility for the CPI(M), who is already friends with the BJP. I am stating official records. CAG report said your [Centre] 32 departments did not give UCs for Rs 52,000 crore. What is the answer for this?"
